Northern Case Management employ an in-house training coordinator to manage the induction and development of our staff.

This is an efficient and cost effective way to provide the mandatory training for the Health and Social Care staff we manage on behalf of our clients.

We can also provide sessions tailored to your needs, and can deliver these at our head office in Bury or at a venue chosen by you.

Health & Safety Awareness in Domiciliary Care

Includes Infection Control, Food Hygiene and Risk Assessment

 

Safeguarding Vulnerable Individuals

Including Vulnerable Adults and Vulnerable Children

 

Introduction to Brain Injury / Introduction to CP

Includes Background to Brain Injury, Rehabilitation and Management, plus either; Non aversive and Motivation Interviewing Techniques, or Rancho Los Amigos Scale of Cognitive Function

 

Handling & Administration of Medicines

For all staff working with clients on medication, regardless of whether the client self-medicates

 

Emergency First Aid at Work

Including CPR

 

Fire and Electrical Safety and Load Handling Awareness

Mandatory, except for Load Handling if it duplicates the Patient Manual Handling course

 

Introduction to Spinal Injury

For all support staff working with clients with a spinal injury

 

Documentation and Record Keeping

Including an introduction to the Medico-legal framework

 

Consent, Capacity, and Best Interests

Aspects of the Mental Capacity Act and assessment tools for decision making
